Able Up Iowa Alternative Finance Program
Easterseals Iowa Assistive Technology Program collaborates with Able Up Iowa to operate the Alternative Finance Program for the state. This particular lending program offers a number of options for people with disabilities, including:
- Reduced interest loans: to buy needed assistive technology (i.e., home modifications, hearing aids, adapted vehicles) to help people with disabilities live, work, and learn more independently.
- Small business loans: Iowans with disabilities interested in starting a small business can also explore securing a low interest loan through this key program support system.
- Credit Builder Loans: provides individuals with no or low credit the opportunity to learn how to manage cash flow, make on time monthly payments, and build credit. Credit Builder Loans are $100-$500 paid back over six months while the borrower completes financial coaching with Iowa Able staff.
Applications are available to fill out or print on the Able Up Iowa website.
